THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS:
Football - Tuesday, September 2
Tykes, 7u, 8u-5:30
9u, 10, 11u-6:00
Please be ready prior to your picture time slot (we are trying to minimize loss of practice time). Groups and individuals will take place at that time. If you are late, you will not be in a group shot. Football should wear full pads, BLACK GAME JERSEYS, black game pants (they do not have the tie string), and oranges socks.
PRACTICE TIMES THIS WEEK:
Games begin this week. Schedules are available under the calendar tab. You should also receive an emailed schedule from your team manager and/or Little Tigers.
Black Jerseys are for home games, white jersey are for away games.
Weigh in takes place 1 hour prior to your game time (each week). If your player is not present for weigh in, the may not play until half time.
Directions are available on the website to all game locations.
We need volunteers each week to make our games run smoothly. Please see your team manager to sign up.
We have a limited number of tables available this week at the merchandise stand.
WHERE TO REPORT:
SIGNING OUT: Please remember to sign out with your name, child's name and the phone number where you can be reached if you are not staying for practice. If a child is sick or injured, we need to be able to reach you quickly.
PICKING UP YOUR CHILD FROM PRACTICE: For the safety of the kids, players and cheerleaders must be picked up on the field where they practice. Coaches will not allow players to leave the practice field to find you. Below is a diagram of your child's practice location on the Tiger Country fields.
PARKING: Please park in the designated spaces along Tiger Drive or in the high school parking lot. Any cars parked on along the curbing or illegally parked in fire lanes will be towed. See the diagram above under "Picking Up Your Child From Practice" for parking locations.
WHAT TO WEAR: Football Players should wear their helmets with mouthpiece, full pads (pants and shoulder pads), and practice jersey. Cheerleaders should wear sneakers, practice tshirts and shorts.
WATER: We are asking players to use our water horses until the teams have split into their designated area. Too much time is lost looking for water bottles or getting them from parents. Tykes and Cheerleaders may bring their own water.
HEAT: Please instruct your player/cheerleader to let a coach know if he does not feel well or is getting light headed. Coaches will ask players how they feel but sometimes players do not feel comfortable telling coaches in front of other players. Tell them it is not a sign of weakness to be overheated. SAFETY is our first priority!!! We will also have a medical tent set up at each practice to address any injuries and medical related issues.
PRE-PRACTICE RECOMMENDATIONS: Players should stay away from caffeine drinks such as soda and tea before and after practice in order to stay hydrated. Water and Gatorade are recommended during practice days. Also, it is highly recommended that players eat light (fruits are best) before practice... cereal and milk is not a good combination before practice.
